BUMP pilates & MUMS + BUBS FAQs
-
Pregnancy is a time where your body completely changes. Maintaining strength is so important to support those continuous changes.
Providing there are no contradictions to exercise, pilates is a safe space to maintain your strength and mobility throughout your pregnancy.
In pre natal pilates, we focus on strengthening your glutes, postural muscles and pelvic floor. Together we aim to improve balance and posture, in return reducing pain, as well as to build strength and endurance to prepare for birth and your recovery.
Some other benefits of pre natal pilates may include, enhancing your mood, reducing stress and improving your breathing control.

If you are already exercising – it is safe to continue to do so
If you have not exercised prior to pregnancy, we recommend to wait until 12 weeks until you begin to start modified Pilates with us. Please chat with our lovely admin team here.
